Introduction to Cables Have you admired the lovely effect of entwining cables, but have been afraid to leap in on your own? This class will work you through some simple cables that will teach you many techniques and result in a lot of confidence. We will work through a cabled headband that is both beautiful and practical for the winter. Students need to be comfortable with casting on, knitting and purling. You will need a 120 yds of worsted to light worsted weight yarn (preferably not 100% cotton or bamboo), size 7-8 needles and a cable or double pointed needle. There are some pre-class preparations. Please leave yourself enough time to check your gauge and begin a couple of non-cabled inches of the headband before class. Taught as one 2 1/2 hour class by Jennifer Schermerhorn. $25 |
