September Classes

You can sign up on line, at the shop or over the phone. Please
reserve space at least 24 hours before the class begins.  The
Beginning classes have a class limit of 5 students, so sign up
soon!

If you see a class that interests you, but is not offered at a
convenient time, please let us know and we will try to
accommodate you.

Private classes are also available .






Beginning Spinning

Learn to spin beginning with a drop
spindle and progressing to the wheel.  
Everyone gets their own spindles to keep!

Taught as 2 two hour classes by Jennifer
Schermerhorn.

Beginning Kintting

Learn to cast on, knit stitch, purl
stitch, simple decrease, and cast off.  
You will make a small clutch bag for
makeup, notions, or whatever!  

Students will need 100yds of a worsted
weight yarn and US#8/5mm needles
and a button. Supplies can be bought
at the first class.  

Taught  as two, 2 hour classes by
Jennifer Schermerhorn.  Evening or
daytime classes available.

Beginning Crochet

Learn the basic techniques and stitches
while creating a
n incredibly useful
facecloth or dishcloth.  

S
tudents will  need 100yds of a cotton or
cotton blend yarn.  (The yarn can be
either a sport or worsted weight.)They will
also need an H hook (for sport weight) or
a J hook (for worsted weight.)

Wathke.

Felted Tote

Knit and felt a simple, yet incredibly
useful, tote/purse.  Felting your
knitting creates a more firm and
sturdy fabric that wears extremely
well.  This is the perfect class for
novice knitters, or those who need a
refresher course, as any uneveness or
mistakes disappear after felting!  
During last class we will embellish our
bags with needle felting.

Students will need to know the basics
of casting on, knitting, purling and
binding off.

Back to School Mittens

This is a free drop in class!  Learn to
knit mittens with this easy pattern.  
Can be done on double points or one
circular needle.  

Students will need to know how to
cast on, knit, purl and cast off.

Saturdays from 2-4pm.
